Reflective

this course offers a variety of skill such as model making skill and drawing skill which we can actually apply the skill that we have learn from the previous workshop with the next workshop.
all the workshop i took involving how to navigating and arranging the data. for example in drawing workshop i have leant how to layout as same as from the colour workshop that we have to arrange the data in to the form of book which is the simple way of how to manage the data and navigate through those information. the same concept have been teach in different way in each workshop. i have learn how to present my idea in both visual and verbal

i have apply the skill from the colour workshop to the modelling workshop.
i feel more confident with drawing skill which i have use it for the studio class. i have more understanding of how to present my idea through drawing. for example, the different thinkness of the line can use to communicate the different thing which i properly use the thinker line on the section drawing where it is cut. i also use the layout skill from colour workshop in the drawing work to manage all the drawing together so the drawing dont get lost on the page.

in modelling working. i learn a new technique of how to construct the model and how to transform my idea in to 3D and navigate through it. i consider more about the scale of the model, and pay more attention with the dimension of the model. such as if the dimention is not accurate it hardly fit all the part of the model together.

i have learn alot from colour workshop which i both theory and practical. we have to study about the theory of colour and making a book, painting, doing layout, writing. for the writing is very useful for me which after i write it. i can see if it not appropriate. what font should i use and what scale.

Material Modelling

For this raplicated model i have to consider the thickness of the interior and exterior wall which i decide to use 4of 1mm cardboard to stick it together instead of 2 of 2mm. i found it give a very good result as it easier to cut

this is my transformative model which the action is solid wraping and slicing and separate. the main material is the cardboard and balsa wood. i have make the solid to wrap around the building and arrange the building into a new form. i make the stair to navigate through the space.

this model is the replicate of glue bottle. which for this model, i have learn a new technique of make the curve on the model. the cardboard is cut into strip so it easy to curve.

these are the model of the cube which these 2 cubes have been construct in different way. the first one is the made by stick all the individual squre together but the second one is using folding mothod. what i have learn in this workshop is when make the model, the thinkness of the card board should be consider. one of my cube is bigger than the other one which i forget to minus the thinkness of the cardboard before i cut it.

Architectural Drawing

i have visited this building and i interested of the glass walling and how the light get through it.
for this drawing i have render the plan to show how the light get through the builing. i also show the symbol of the trees to represent the location where the building is. i also learn about the important of the thickness of the line



for the section drawing i have combine the perspective drawing with the section to show the relationship of the interior and exterior space.

this is the draft of the final drawing. it is helpful to plan what i want to drawing. it actually help me to arrange all the drawing together and layout of it. so the drawing does not get lost on the page.

this excercise is about the perspective drawing of the building which including the drawing of the landscape. the landscape and human figure in the building is actually create a visual understanding for the scale and the location of the building which easier to understand .

this is orthographic drawing of the tea cup which show the plan, section and elevation. for this workshop we was asked to interpret of what we see into the drawing and present what we want to present. for this cup i wanted to show the effect of the light of the tea cup so i have render the the drawing.

This excercise is very useful which it is about the understanding of the of sunlight and shadow

Atlas of colour

I have studied about colour symbolism which each colour can create the feeling. i was ask to think of the colour i am and make the collage to represent those colour. My colour theme is yellow which represent happiness. i use different tone of yellow and texture paper to make jigsaw like collage.

These 2 works above are more about colour theory and tone. we have to design the facade of the building and paint it. the first one we ask to make the black and white version which we can only use white grey and black.

for this task we ask to design an emotional map which represent our memories.

i want my map to look old so i have experiment with the many way to make it look old like burning the paper. at the end i chose to use coffee which i think it is easier to control, not like burning. the colour on each city on the map represent my feeling about that memory

i have use the transparency sheet and paint to create the art work representing the light comeing through the stained glass.

these 5 painting above is the paint of the buiding which have the interesting way of how to use colour in architecture.

actually for the atlas, we have to do it in form of the book which it is very simple way to arrange all the data. but we have to create the navigation which make it easier to search for that data. i have to research the way to navigate the my atlas which i use the colour to navigate through it. each colour indicate different section.
